I guess this is the page where I should probably write some amazing personal statement about how incredible I think I am etc etc. The truth is; I hate all that sort of stuff and I’m also just not very good at bigging myself up. So here is a ramble that should cover some of the basics. Here goes…
I have over 20 years industry experience working with some of the most successful design agencies, people and global brands. From conception to completion, I have a proven record of delivering effective design solutions and compelling brand identities for a variety of international clients.
After 10 years of working in studios in Manchester and Yorkshire, it was time to go freelance where I now work on a project-by-project basis as well as collaborating with agencies and creatives both in-house and remotely from my own studio. My work has taken me from B2B corporate events in Dallas to branding whole football stadiums in the UAE and then back home to small independent craft beer start-ups.
As well as design I also like to indulge in contemporary collage work influenced by Surrealism and Pop-Art. I like to combine vintage ephemera with landscapes, personalities, flora and fauna to create dreamy, imaginary scenes using found materials, scavenged from antique books, retro magazines, packaging, slides, photographs and postcards. I’ve had my collage work exhibited throughout the UK as well as internationally, and recently had work published in Creative Review.
Outside the world of design I enjoy listening to obscure funk and soul records, conjuring up Lebanese feasts in the kitchen and venturing off in to the wild on long distance fell runs.
