Alex Darke is a freelance creative designer and contemporary collage artist. Influenced by Surrealism and Pop-Art, his work combines vintage ephemera with landscapes, personalities, flora and fauna to create dreamy, imaginary scenes.
Alex’s process begins with his extensive collection of found materials, scavenged from antique books, retro magazines, packaging, slides, photographs and postcards.
He works from his refurbished mill studio in the centre of Manchester and has exhibited work throughout the UK as well as internationally, including the U.S, the Middle East and across Europe and recently had work published in Creative Review.
